
Position Overview
This position provides significant support for the success of the Men’s Soccer program. Primary duties are coaching and skill development, recruiting, budgeting and scheduling, academic monitoring, and development of positive team culture.
Responsibilities
Assist with Academic Monitoring of student-athletes
Personal development of student-athletes
Contribute to positive team culture
Identify, evaluate, and recruit students that can succeed at Butler both academically and athletically
Build and cultivate relationships with scholastic and non-scholastic coaches
Assist with teaching and coaching in team and individual settings
Lead Head Coach’s recruiting strategy
Oversee budget in cooperation with the Head Coach
Aid in building a schedule for championship and non-championship segments
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Collegiate coaching or playing experience. Knowledge of NCAA Division I and BIG EAST rules and regulations
Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and staff
Outstanding verbal communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years coaching at the collegiate or professional level
Master’s Degree
